Definition

cell density that is the total number of cells per unit size

Explanatory Notes

Total cell density accounts for both viable and non-viable cells in the assessed cell population. A cell density restricted to viable cells is represented as viable cell density.

Examples

  • the total cell density of a bioreactor culture sample measured by an automated cell counter; the total cell density of a CHO cell culture during production; the total cell density of a seed train culture before inoculation;

Primitive Class

This class is declared primitive and it does not have necessary and sufficient condiftions defined.

Primitive Rationale

There are insufficient constructs for creating a set of necessary and sufficient conditions.

Formal Axioms

First-Order Logic Axioms
